Joe A. Lawrence

Joe A. Lawrence, 28, resident of New Ipswich, NH, died by suicide on July 11, 2016.

He was born on September 1, 1987 in Peterborough, NH, a son of Bonnie (Pelkey) Lawrence and the late Brian Lawrence of Washington, NH.
Joe was raised in both Deering and Rindge and graduated in 2006 from Victory High School, Jaffrey.

He had worked for Kimball Farms in Jaffrey on their maintenance crew.

Joe enjoyed camping with his family, fishing, spending time with his nieces and nephew, and playing with his dog, Dozer. He also enjoyed “sneaking” out for ice cream with his Aunts, Roberta and Anne.

In addition to his father, Brian, Joe was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Oris Pelkey Sr., his maternal grandmother Annie Pelkey (Bennett), his uncle Oris Pelkey Jr. and his uncle Timothy Lawrence.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Lawrence and partner Rick Lussier Sr., of New Ipswich. His sister, Jessica Pelkey, nieces Saige and Maddison, and nephew Jacen all of Rindge, NH. His grandparents James and Cheryl Houghton of Washington, NH and Penny McDonald of Tega Cay, SC. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Jaffrey VFW following the calling hours. Burial will be held in Washington Cemetery, Washington, NH at a later date.
