John D. Lehtinen

John D. Lehtinen, 62, of Rindge, NH died at his home on April 3, 2018 after a period of declining health.

John was born on August 25, 1955 in Fitchburg, MA, son of the late Margaret Kuriger and John R. Lehtinen. He was raised and educated in the Leominster area and had lived for some time in Lunenburg and Ashby, MA. He has been a resident of Rindge for the last 14 years with his longtime companion, Wendy Jayne.

John owned and operated his own business for many years, Action Maintenance. He was a quiet man, but he loved his family and time spent on the Cape, gardening, on the golf course or watching the Patriots and Red Sox on TV.

John is survived by his three sons; John Jr., Brian and Scott Lehtinen, his longtime companion, Wendy Jayne of Rindge, NH, his step-daughters; Jamie Chandler of Fitzwilliam, NH and Carrie Niskala of Milford, NH, and his 4 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren and many niece’s nephews and cousins.

In accordance with John’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the First Congregational Church of Rindge, 6 Payson Hill Rd, Rindge, NH 03461. Rev. David Jadlocki, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
