Marlboro, Ma - Arthur J. Coache Jr., 89, of Marlboro, formerly of Rindge, NH, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 30th, 2010 with his devoted wife and children by his side. He was the beloved and loving husband of Ambrosina (Ann) J. (Diani) Coache, formerly of Hudson, MA, for the past 61 years.
Born in Marlboro on March 26, 1921, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Sr. and Albina E. (Boisse) Coache and was the devoted brother to the late Roland A. Coache of Shrewsbury, MA and the late Estelle (Coache) Bousquet of Brockton, MA. Arthur was raised and educated in Marlboro and worked as a metal press operator at the former Johnson-Claflin Corporation on Lincoln Street for 35 years. Married in 1949, he and Ambrosina lived on Clinton Street in Marlboro where they raised their children until moving to Rindge in 1977. Both Arthur and Ambrosina worked several years at Millipore Corporation in Jaffrey, NH until retiring to enjoy traveling and working together on their wonderful woodcrafts. After 32 years in Rindge, in January of this year, they moved back to Marlboro to the New Horizons assisted living community. They had been longtime members of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Marlboro, as well as at St. Patrick's Church in Jaffrey.
Arthur was a decorated World War II US Army Air Corps veteran, serving from 1942 to 1945. On completion of basic training at Ft. Devens, MA, he attended the Aircraft Mechanic School, Seymour Johnson Field, NC, and the Aircraft Field Engineering School, Detroit, MI. He attained the rank of corporal with the 31st Depot Repair Squadron based at Hill Field, Ogden, Utah. His tour of duty took him through Africa, Yugoslavia and Italy, during which time life long friendships with other courageous young men were established.
In addition to his beloved wife, Ambrosina, he is survived by his children, Paul A. Coache and his wife, Jean of Tucson, AZ, - Anne M. Kosh and her husband Mitchell of Wilton, CT, - Frances M. Coache of North Attleboro, MA, - Dennis J. Coache and his wife Theresa of Sterling, MA, - James P. Coache and his wife, Barbara of Berlin, MA, and seven cherished grandchildren, five step grand children. He is also survived by two sisters, Madeleine (Coache) Boyd of Damariscota, ME, - and Dororthy J. (Coache) Collins of Las Vegas, NV, - a brother-in-law, Francis P. Diani of Santa Barbara, CA, - two sisters-in-law, Teresa (Diani-Piacitelli) Benziger of Paradise, CA, - and Mary R. Diani of Chesterfield, NH, - as well as several cousins, many nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the St Patrick's School at 70 Main Street in Jaffrey, NH.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel at New Horizons at 400 Hemenway Street in Marlboro on Saturday June 5, at 11:00 AM.
There will also be a memorial Mass celebrated at St. Patrick's Church at 87 Main Street in Jaffrey, NH on Friday, June 11th at 11:00am.
