Judy C. Romano, 69, of Rindge and formerly of Fitchburg, MA died peacefully Saturday March 20, 2010 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born on November 10, 1940 in Lunenburg, MA, daughter of the late George and Bernadette (LeBlanc) Progin. She attended schools in Lunenburg and moved to Fitchburg to raise her family after marrying her husband in 1958.
Judy lived for her family; she raised loving children and grandchildren while nurturing them and her husband through the years. She also loved all of nature and its countless creatures and fed them all daily. Gardening and flowers brightened her days along with the occasional trip to the casinos for a chance at winning big!
Judy was preceded in death by her brothers George Progin and Bernard Tinker Progin.
She is survived by the love of her life and husband for over 52 years, Charles Richard Romano Jr. of Rindge, NH; her 3 sons, Charles Rick Romano, III and his wife Phyllis of Rindge, NH, Mark Nicholas Romano and his wife Kathy of Fitchburg, MA, and John Anthony Romano also of Fitchburg, MA; her granddaughter Angela Romano of Rindge, NH; her great-granddaughter Talia of Rindge, NH; her 2 sisters, Lynda Szlosek of Lunenburg, MA and Christine Larsen of Fitchburg, MA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judys name to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446 or to the humane society where you live.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthonys Church in Fitchburg, MA and will be announced later.
