June K. MacDonald

June K. MacDonald, 100, of Rindge, NH died surrounded by her son and daughter in-law in the care and comfort of the Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on January 27, 2016 after a period of declining health.

Mrs. MacDonald was born on June 3, 1915 in Boston, MA daughter of the late John and Anna (Kilbride) Moore.

June married William V. MacDonald Sr. and for many years they raised their children and made their home in Medford, MA. She resided most recently here in the Monadnock region first living with her son and daughter in law in Rindge, NH and then a short while at the Summerhill Assisted living home in Peterborough and just recently within the last few months became a resident of the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester.

In addition to her parents June was pre deceased by her loving husband, William V. MacDonald Sr., in 1996 and her brother, Paul Moore in 2003.

Survivors include her sons, William “Bill” MacDonald Jr. and his wife Helen of Rindge, NH, Robert MacDonald and his wife Priscilla of Lauderdale by the Sea, FL and James MacDonald and his wife Ruth of Hebron, ME. Five grandsons: Matthew, Michael, James, Andrew and Christopher. Six great-grandchildren: Haley, Drew, Grason, Jack, Ryan and Bridget.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd from 8:00 to 9:30 AM in the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church, 87 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.
