Katherine ‘Kate’ Coll, 42, of Swanzey, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017 with her husband by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kate was born on July 20, 1974 in Lebanon, NH, the daughter of James and Violette (McAleer) Rancore. She was a 1993 graduate of Mascoma Regional High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Keene State College in 1997.
Kate joined the Keene High School Faculty in 2007 and became a science teacher specializing in Biology. She particularly enjoyed working with all of ‘her kiddos’ at the Keene High School North Campus, and enjoyed spending her summers at home with her family and vacationing at Virginia Beach.
Kate also liked embroidery, as well as drawing and casually doodling, but she most enjoyed hanging out with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents of Canaan, NH, Kate is survived by her husband of 16 years, Keith Coll and her beloved son Zachary, both of Swanzey, NH and by her 2 sisters, Amy Lanoie of Maine and Erica Rancore of Maryland.
There will be no calling hours or formal services at this time, but a celebration of Kate’s life will be held on July 22, 2017. Further information will be announced on her Facebook page and on www.cournoyerfh.com.
