Kenneth P. Duquette died peacefully at home with his family at his side on Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born in Keene on April 22, 1929, the sixth child of Gladys (Buskey) and Peter Duquette.
He was educated in Keene schools and graduated from DeVry University in Chicago. He proudly served with the National Guard as a Master Sergeant for many years.
Ken held many jobs through his life beginning with delivering the Keene Sentinel and cutting meat at a local market. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company and the Keene Gas Company. After a 35 year engineering career he retired from New Hampshire Ball Bearings in 1994 as Manager of Automation Design.
He was a member of the United Church of Jaffrey where he was a trustee for many years, treasurer for 10 years, and a member of the choir for over 35 years. He was an active member of the Jaffrey Historical Society where he was an officer and treasurer for many years.
Ken was an avid golfer. He and Mary K enjoyed golfing and antiquing together. Ken loved visiting and tending the family camp in Maine.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary K, his stepson Jim Bearce, and his wife Lisa, and a grandson William McSkimmon Bearce, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00AM in the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Chris Owen, Interim Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Conant Cemetery.
