Peterborough, NH Kenneth P. Warren, 93, passed away on January 16, 2013 at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH after a period of failing health. Ken was born on August 13, 1919 in Bennington, NH, son of the late Pearl and Gladys (Dodge) Warren. He grew up on the family farm and in 1940 he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and served as a crew chief on a B-25 bomber aircraft known as the Grapes of Wrath in the Panama Canal Zone and stateside in Oklahoma. He married his beloved wife, Esther in 1943 and upon completion of his military service they returned to New Hampshire. Ken joined the NH Fish and Game Commission as a conservation officer in 1949 and dedicated 32 years of his life to the management and protection of New Hampshire fisheries and wildlife. He especially enjoyed working with disabled children and teaching them the value of wildlife conservation. He was often called to be guest speaker at local events where he would present wildlife management programming for the benefit of the community. He once quoted I think I can sell the idea of vacationing in NH to anybody if you give me 15 minutes and a microphone. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, gardener, bee keeper and sports enthusiast. He dedicated his life to wildlife conservation and helping others in need. He will be remembered as a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved and cherished his family. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Esther (Perry) Warren on December 26, 2011. Ken is survived by his daughter Betsy Finnan and her husband, Richard of Stanfordville, NY and his granddaughter Hillary Holian and her husband Matthew of Peterborough, NH.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202) Jaffrey, NH.
Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Polly H. Shamy, Pastor of the Union Congregational Church, UCC in Peterborough will officiate. Burial will be at later at Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough.
