Lester J. Foote, Jr.

Lester J. Foote Jr., 68, of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024, after a period of failing health at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH.

Lester was born on December 7, 1955, in Goffstown, NH, son of the late Lester and Sfa (Hilton) Foote Sr.  He spent many years living in Jaffrey, and this included spending his professional life working for the Jaffrey-Rindge School District.

Lester was an avid Conant Basketball fan and one of their strongest supporters. The team has lost a truly loyal fan.  When the Orioles weren’t playing, he also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics.

He was predeceased by both parents, three sisters and many other relatives.

He is survived by his two sisters, Sfa Whittemore and Frances Clough, both of Bennington, NH, and his brother, Scott Foote of Antrim. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He will also be missed dearly by his best and most cherished friends, and second family, Brian, Tammy, and Spencer Lloyd of Rindge, NH.

Honoring Lester’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.  A graveside service will be held for him in the Spring, at Number 3 Cemetery in Francestown, NH, where Lester will be buried with his family.
