Linda Lee Bond passed away peacefully at Hillsboro House Nursing Home in Hillsborough, New Hampshire on July 20th of this year, one week to the day after her 75th birthday.
Linda, daughter of Edward and Ruth Bond, both deceased, was born July 13, 1949, in Bronxville, New York. She lived with her family in Wilton, Connecticut for many years before becoming a long-term resident at the Lukas Community in Temple, New Hampshire in 1989. Her parents and sister, Candace Bond, also deceased, relocated to nearby Peterborough in order to be closer to Linda. Linda particularly enjoyed taking part in the many social gatherings, workshops and artistic endeavors offered at the Lukas Community.
She made many friends during her many years in residence there and during her shorter stay at Hillsboro House, this due especially to her affable and complimentary nature. She held those who respected and cared for her in high regard, and was never sparing in her praise for them. Toward the end of her life, Linda spoke often of her deceased parents and took solace in the thought of someday being reunited with them in the future.
Linda’s remains were placed with theirs in the Bond family plot at Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough on August 14th. A memorial service will take place on September 7th at 2:00 at the Lukas Community.
Rest in Peace Linda.
“Upward to thee strive the Love of our souls,
Upward to thee flow the stream of our Love.
May they sustain thee, May they enfold thee,
In heights of Hope, in spheres of Love.”
