Lorelle M. (St. Pierre) Schafheitle

School nurse, Jaffrey native, dies in California
Folsom, Calif.---Lorelle M. (St. Pierre) Schafheitle, 74, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 in a group home in Folsom after a period of failing health. She had been a resident of Redwood City, California for many years.
Born in Jaffrey, N.H. on June 4, 1936, she was the daughter Noe and Leda (Letourneau) Saint Pierre. She was raised in Jaffrey and graduated from Conant High School in 1954.
She was a participant in many school activities including girls varsity basketball, school plays, music club, and on the staff of the school newspaper.
She was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from the Catherine Labore School of Nursing in Dorchester, Mass. in 1957; a B.S. in Nursing from Boston College in 1960, and an M.A in Special Education from San Francisco State in 1970. She was employed as a school nurse prior to retiring.
She married Walter Schafheitle, a native of Olten, Switzerland, in San Francisco on Sept. 2, 1961. The couple attended St. Pius Church in Redwood City.
Lorelle is survived by her husband of Redwood City, a daughter Sonja (Schafheitle) Siri and her husband Daniel of Chico, Calif.; two sons, Paul Schafheitle and his wife Sandra of Agoura Hills, Calif.; Peter Schafheitle and his wife Catherine of Folsom, Calif.; a brother Paul Saint Pierre and his wife Carolyn of Jaffrey, N.H; two nephews, Matthew Saint Pierre of Port Orange, Fla., and Benjamin Saint Pierre and his wife Kristen of Concord, N.H. She also leaves seven grandchildren.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Menlo Park, California.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius Church in Redwood City.
