Temple NH - Lynda O. Connolly, 76, of Temple, NH passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Friday, April 14, 2023 after a period of declining health.
She was born in Neptune, NJ on June 14, 1946, the daughter of the late Lynden and Ruth Okerson. She grew up in Spring Lake Heights, NJ and attended schools in New Jersey, and colleges in Connecticut and Kansas.
She married Martin T. Connolly on August 19, 1967 in Manasquan, NJ. She and Marty relocated to NH to begin their married life together. They built the home they continued to share together with their family in Temple, NH. Her careers included that of a schoolteacher, a hospital clerk, Title Search agent and then she went on to co-own Main Street Title Services. She also was devoted to helping on the farm she and Marty started which is now owned by her sons.
She was also happily involved in many local organizations including Ladies Aid, Temple Fire Department Auxiliary, the Faith Food Pantry and Supervisors of the Checklist.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Martin T. Connolly of Temple, her three sons and their wives, Christopher and Jennifer, Michael and Cindi, and Patrick and Jill, all of Temple. Three beloved grandsons, Tucker Connolly, Grant Connolly and Elliott Connolly all of Temple. Her sister, Carolyn Kelly and her husband John of NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Abigail Bevlyn who died in 2010.
In keeping with her wishes, a simple Celebration of Life will be held at Connolly Brother's Dairy Farm on Friday April 21, 2023 at 1pm. Friends and family are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Temple Fire Department Auxiliary, The Faith Food Pantry or Temple Ladies Aid.
