Margaret P. Harlow

Margaret P. Harlow, 92, of Plantation Drive in Jaffrey died peacefully Friday May 13, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey following a period of failing health.

She was born November 13, 1918 in Worcester MA, daughter of the late George (Petrus) and Pearl (Arnold) Peters. Her family moved to Jaffrey when she was very young and since then she has been a life long resident of this community. She was a graduate ofConant High School.

Margaret had formally worked at W.W. Cross Co. in Jaffrey but most of her life was spent as a homemaker. She was an avid reader and the Jaffrey Librarians remember her coming in and out to take out books.She was a great cook and will be remembered by many for her birthday sponge cakes. She cherished time spent with family and friends.

Her husband of forty three years Leon Jeremiah Harlow died February 13, 1990.

She is survived by several friends including Mary E. Del Rossi of Portland Maine and Vera S. Pomponio of Jaffrey; as well as many adopted nieces and nephews from the Leach, DelRossi and Pomponiofamilies.

Graveside Committal services will be held Thursday May 19, 2011 at 2:00PM in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, pastor of St. Patrick parish will officiate.
