Margenette E. Desrosiers

Margenette E. (Pelletier) Desrosiers, 93, a lifelong resident of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Pheasant Wood Center, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Greenville, on August 26, 1923, to Edward and Eliza (LeClerc) Pelletier.

She attended schools in Greenville and worked as a weaver, in the textile industry, her entire career. She worked for Florence Mills prior to working at Warwick Mills, where she worked for over 30 years before her retirement.

She married Roland H. Desrosiers, in a ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Greenville, on May 10, 1947. They were married for 53 years before his death in 1999.

She was a longtime Auxiliary member of the LeClair-Caron-Pelletier Post #13 American Legion. She loved cooking, especially baking and only travelled to see family. She loved being at home. However, her favorite pastime would have been BINGO, a game she would play anywhere at any time. When not playing BINGO, she could be found watching the old TV westerns of the 60’s and 70’s.

She is survived by her sons: Raymond Desrosiers and his wife Joanne of Temple and Roger Desrosiers and his wife Dawn of Ione, CA; two granddaughters; one great granddaughter; two sisters: Laurette LaFreniere and Theresa Pelletier, both of Greenville; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers and a sister.

Calling hours will be held at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St, Jaffrey on Friday September 30, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:30.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 15 High St, Greenville, NH on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 12:00 PM.

Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Ipswich.
