Marguerite Sutcliffe

Marguerite Sutcliffe of Harrisville passed quietly from her earthly home on December 14, 2011. She was born in Maine in 1921, the youngest of Edgar and Lottie’s eight children. All preceded her in death. In 1944, she married John Sutcliffe. They lived in Massachusetts for twenty years, then split their time between that home and Harrisville until 1980, when Marguerite began her first retirement. She eventually retired from her work as assistant to the Harrisville Postmaster in 2002. John passed away in 2008, and both loved their lakeside home. Marguerite most enjoyed being outside working in her yard and watching the wildlife from their dining room window. She is survived by their daughter Donna, of Colorado, and two grandchildren, Jenne of Montana and A.J. (Jamey to his grandparents) of Texas. No services are planned. Friends may simply nod as they pass the house, or donate to a charity of their choice.
