Marie A. Constantine

Marie A. Constantine, 91, of Jaffrey died peacefully at home with her children by her side on Friday, April 8, 2016 after a period of failing health
She was born on December 1, 1924 in Hillabus, Washington, daughter of Lincoln and Vivian (Easton) Blandfield. Marie attended schools in the Seattle area and eventually moved to Las Vegas where she met and married Raymond G. Constantine, on August 1, 1949.
Marie and Ray made Gardner, Massachusetts their home for over 30 years before moving to Rindge, New Hampshire and finally to Jaffrey where they have lived for the last 17 years.
Marie had belonged to the John Humiston Post #11 American Legion Auxilliary in Jaffrey where she enjoyed playing Cribbage and helping out where she could. She adored the Boston Redsox and she will always be remembered for never missing a birthday or anniversary for anyone close to her.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Ray on November 2, 2011 and by her son Michael on March 24, 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Janis Pritchard of Jaffrey, her son Charlie and his wife Karen Constantine of Michigan and by her 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Marie’s life on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202) Jaffrey.
A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel immediately following the visitation at 10:30 AM on Saturday.
Burial will be with her husband at the Massachusetts State Veteran’s Cemetery in Winchendon, MA.
