Marie F. Ouellette

Marie F. Ouellette, 95, formerly of Jaffrey, died peacefully on Friday January 20, 2012 at Pine Rock Manor in Warner, NH after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Mrs. Ouellette was born on September 8, 1916 in Winchendon, Mass, daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Marcotte) Fontaine. She had moved to Jaffrey in the 1920’s and had lived in town most of her life. She attended schools in Jaffrey and was a graduate of Conant High School. Mrs. Ouellette had retired from W. W. Cross, Co. in 1981 after working there as the receptionist and telephone operator for over 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey and had belonged to the Catholic Daughter’s Society and the Jaffrey Women’s Club. She enjoyed making dried flower arrangements and visiting many of the yard sales around the area through the years. She cherished being a loving mother and grandmother, and caring for her entire family. Her husband, Charles E. Ouellette, preceded her in death on December 5, 1997. Survivors include her daughter, Anna B. Wall of Salem, NH; her son Gerald ‘Gerry’ Ouellette of Plymouth, NH; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202) Jaffrey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following calling hours on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:00AM in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Spring in St. Patrick Cemetery, Jaffrey.
