Marie Gravel

Marie Gravel, 73, of Troy, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a brief period of failing health.

She was born in Gardner, MA on April 5, 1948, daughter of the late Malion and Germaine (Christian) Blair. Marie graduated with the Class of 1966 from Conant High School in Jaffrey.

Marie had worked locally throughout her life. She had been a machine operator at D.D. Bean & Sons in Jaffrey, as well as at Harrisville Design in Harrisville, NH. She also enjoyed being out in the community and working at the Dollar Store.

She was an enthusiastic Bingo player and had enjoyed numerous trips to Foxwoods through the years.

Mrs. Gravel was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on November 30, 2009, and her brothers, Malion, Loren, and Frank Blair also died earlier.

She is survived by her partner of 13 years, Bruce Castine of Troy, her sister, Marion Robinson, of Jaffrey, and a large extended family and many close friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Gravel has requested there be no calling hours or formal services at this time.
A private graveside service will be held at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Jaffrey at the convenience of the family.
