Marjorie C. Andrews

Marjorie C. Andrews, 82, an active resident of Forest Park in Jaffrey, NH died Friday, January 30, 2015 after a brief illness at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center while surrounded by her family.

Marjorie was born on May 30, 1932 in North Sydney - Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Alex and Marjorie MacLean. After high school she graduated as a Registered Nurse from the St. Martha’s School of Nursing, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.

On January 6, 1956 Marjorie married Harold Andrews in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Marjorie and Harold then moved to the United States and had lived in several states before settling in New Hampshire in 1972.

Marjorie continued her love for helping others while working for Monadnock Community Hospital for 17 years before eventually retiring from the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.

She stayed very active and enjoyed bowling, camping, gardening and simply spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was pre deceased by her husband Harold in 1995; her son Robert and her parents, Alex and Marjorie MacLean.

Mrs. Andrews is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Donna Andrews of Jaffrey, her daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Robert Dickson of Spokane, WA and her daughter Deanna C. Andrews of Jaffrey, NH. Marjorie is also survived by her four grandchildren, James Andrews, Mark Andrews, Michael Dickson and Rebecca Dickson; and four great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Marjorie will be held at the Hillside Cemetery on Goddard Road in Rindge, NH on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00PM.
