Mark Edmond Boulay, 61, of Rindge, NH, passed on August 13, 2021, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Leominster, MA, on May 2, 1960, to Edmond and Pauline (Gosler) Boulay. They relocated to New Hampshire when Mark was a young boy. He grew up in Hudson, NH and graduated from Alvirne High School in Hudson, NH, in 1978.
Shortly after graduation, Mark enlisted with the United States Air Force, he was stationed at Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas, NV, for two and a half years, and in RAF Alconbury, in Alconbury, England for three and a half years where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Here he met his wife, Gina Scotney. They married on April 7, 1984, at St. Wendreda’s Church in March, England. During his enlistment, Mark also attended military college where he earned his associates degree.
After Mark’s service in the Air Force, he began working for North Central Correctional Institute as a corrections officer in Gardner, MA. He retired as lieutenant in 2014. He was also employed with Old Glory Guns and Ammo in Greenville, NH. Together they had two sons and raised them in Rindge where they have resided since 1988.
When Mark was not working, he found joy in spending time at the gun range shooting and collecting firearms. Exercising, bicycling, and going to the gym are some of Mark’s favored hobbies. He was also a lover of music and could be found listening to his favorite, classic rock.
Mark is survived by his wife Gina (Scotney) Boulay of Rindge, NH; his sons, Josh Boulay of Jaffrey, NH, and Chris Boulay of Rindge, NH; his siblings: Brian and Paula Boulay of Brookline, NH, Kevin and Wendy Boulay of Leominster, MA, Beth and Scott Bigelow of Leominster, MA, Scott and Kara Boulay of Leominster, MA, and Nancy and George Allen of Fitchburg, MA. As well as several nieces, nephews, and other loving family. Mark is predeceased by his brother Michael Boulay.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 5:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St. Jaffrey, NH 03452.
Funeral services will be held with full military honors at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA, on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 11:00 A.M.
