Mark James Obuchowski

Mark J. Obuchowski, age 55, of Rindge, NH died on March 4, 2019. He was born on November 21, 1963 in Claremont, NH to Frank and Joan Obuchowski, both deceased. He grew up in Troy, NH and was a 1982 graduate of Monadnock Regional High School. He married his beloved wife, Kasandra King on February 4, 1995 in Athol, MA. They have two incredible sons, Dillon 21, and Zachary 18. Mark worked as a Senior R&D Controls Engineer at Kadant, Inc. for the last five years. He was highly respected by his colleagues for his strong work ethic and problem-solving nature. Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing, four-wheeling, and photography. He especially enjoyed these activities with his sons, father, brother, and nephew.

Mark’s family was the most important thing in his life. He was an extremely dedicated, loving husband and father. He attended all of his sons’ school and sporting events. He was a proud father of all of their many accomplishments. He treated his sons’ friends as his own, always with a thoughtful, encouraging word. He freely dedicated many hours of volunteer time, taking wonderful pictures of all team members on the ConVal football and lacrosse teams. His lively character gifted him with many deep friendships that he treasured.

Mark is survived by his wife, Kasandra of 24 years; two sons, Dillon and Zachary, all of Rindge; a brother David and his wife Wendi of Hampden, MA, Mark’s Godchild and niece Erin of Quincy, MA, and nephew Sean of Sarajevo Bosnia; sister Nancy and her husband Ralph, their sons Tucker and Eli and daughter Scout, of Novelty, OH; and many, many friends. Mark’s smile and warm, generous hugs will be missed by all.

Abiding by Mark’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 8th, at 10:00 AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 37 School Street, Troy, NH 03465.
