Mary Louise Pelfrey, 73 of Peterborough, died Sunday February 19, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center in Jaffrey after a period of failing health. Mrs. Pelfrey was born on September 11, 1938 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Pasquale and Eva (Bertonazzi) Moffa. She was a 1956 graduate of Peters high school in Southborough, Massachusetts, and a graduate of the Framingham Nursing School. Mrs. Pelfrey was a Registered Nurse specializing in wound care and oncology care. She had worked at the Framingham Hospital and at several hospitals in California before retiring in 2000. Throughout her life she had lived in Massachusetts, California and most recently New Hampshire. She enjoyed playing cards, singing karaoke, and billiards. Mrs. Pelfrey was preceded in death by her sister Ellen Boswell. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Blamire of Manchester, NH and by her sons, Michael Pelfrey of Fairmount, West Virginia and Beau Moffa of Standish, Maine; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, and many cousins and close friends.

At Mrs. Pelfrey’s request, there will be no calling hours and all services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
