Michael P. Caron, 56, of Troy, died Sunday June 2, 2013 at his residence following a period of failing health. He was born February 5, 1957 in Peterborough son of the late Marcel Caron and Barbara (Jewell) LaFreniere. Mike grew up in Jaffrey and had attended Conant High School. Michael has been a resident of Troy for the past few years and previously had lived in New Ipswich as well as Port Richey, Florida. Most of his life he had worked as a machinist but most recently he had worked in the maintenance department with the Townsend – Pepperell (MA) School District. His love of family, compassion for animals and his pets, along with his love of music defined him. He was a friendly and helpful neighbor to those around him. Always known for his humor and big smile. Survivors include his daughter Amanda Cleary of Manchester NH; three brothers Matthew A. McFadden of Lunenburg, MA, Joel P. Austin of Bath, Maine, Jeffrey L. Austin of Trinity Texas; two sisters Marcella Brown of Newark Ohio and Twila Bell of Leominster MA; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara J. LaFreniere, his father Marcel Caron, and his brother Jonathan Austin, all of Jaffrey.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Good Neighbor Fund, Post Office Box 486, Jaffrey NH 03452.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held at the family lot in the Old Burial Ground in Jaffrey Center on Saturday June 15, 2013 at 11:00AM. Rev Robert Kyte, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Jaffrey will officiate.
