Mildreth Reynolds Roy

February 2, 1924 — August 28, 2011

Mildreth Reynolds Roy passed away peacefully at her home in Mount Dora, FL on Sunday, August 28, 2011 after a long illness. She was born on February 2, 1924 in Keene, NH to Edward L. and Theresa H. Reynolds. Mildreth was very devoted to her husband, her family and her community. For 35 years, she and her family owned and operated Roy’s Market in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire. Mildreth was loved by the small, close knit community. She and Roland lived over the store for many years. With the bus stop right outside, many of the local children would visit the store often and Mildreth looked out for all of them, transferring messages back and forth to the children and their parents. After retiring they moved to Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland O. Roy, her parents and brother, Edward L. Reynolds. Mrs. Roy is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (David) Perdew of Winter Park, FL; her son, Roland O. (Carol) Roy of Cheshire, CT; a grandson, Christopher Roy, a student at Fairfield College in CT; and 2 sisters, Marjorie R. Taylor of Zephyrhills, FL and Dorothy R. Crawford of Umatilla, FL.
