Nancy Ann Clark, 78, of New Ipswich, NH, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
She was born October 30, 1936 in Norwood, Mass, daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Lavish) Donahue. She was raised by her step-father Roland “Babe” Tremblay and her mother Josephine and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1954. Nancy attended Northeastern University and after moving to New Ipswich, graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner with her nursing degree.
Nancy worked at Tricnit Hosiery Mill and at Friendship Manor while in school, and afterwards worked for different healthcare systems including Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua and eventually retired from Diversified Home Healthcare and Visiting Nurses.
Nancy was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed an active social life. She had belonged to the Red Hat Society and the Scrabble Club at the New Ipswich Library. Nancy also enjoyed gardening, bird watching and doting on her cats.
In addition to her parents and her step-father, Nancy was also predeceased by her two half brothers, Kenneth and George Donahue.
Nancy is survived by her sons and daughters in-laws, John and Dolly Clark of New Ipswich, NH, Patrick Clark of Goffstown, NH, and Thomas and Tracy Clark of Leominster, MA. Nancy is also survived by her 10 loving grandchildren, Stephanie Clark, Rhiannon Emerson, Thadeus Clark, Emily DeChane, Darrin DeChane, Chloe Paradis, McKinley Paradis, Katelyn Clark, Austen Clark, Nicholas Clark; and two cousins Albert Seaver and Sally Kamantauskas. Nancy is also survived by her former husband Oscar M. Clark and by her cat Bella Marie.
At Mrs. Clark’s request there will be no calling hours and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
