Nancy L. Stowell

Nancy L. Stowell, 68, of Franklin Street in Winchendon, MA, died peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Wednesday July 29, 2009 at her daughters home in Rindge after a brief illness.

Mrs. Stowell was born on April 15, 1941 in Winchendon, MA, daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Patch) Florence. She had attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. She was married William C. Stowell of Keene and had enjoyed travelling frequently to Arizona to spend time with her family.

Mrs. Stowell enjoyed a lifetime with the best job anyone could ever have; she was a stay at home mom and she was very proud of it. Her family was her priority and when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, she discovered a new and wonderful hobby of helping to care for them as well.

Mrs. Stowell was preceded in death by her husband in 1988 and by her son William C. Stowell, Jr. in 2003.

She is survived by her 3 daughters; Shelly Newton of Winchendon, MA, Karen Trombly of Rindge, NH, and Diana Donovan of Dolan Springs, Arizona; her daughter in law, Lucy Stowell of Keene, NH; 12 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren; her sister Shirley Rocheleau of Winchendon, MA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Stowells name to Hospice at HCS, (for patient care needs in the Monadnock Region,) PO Box 496, Peterborough, NH 03458.

At Mrs. Stowells request, there will be no calling hours and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
