Norma Lee Spiker, 85, formerly of New Ipswich, NH passed away peacefully at the Jaffrey Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Born on April 26, 1939, in Peterborough, NH, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Laura (Maki) Emma. Norma attended local schools and graduated from the Appleton Academy in New Ipswich.
She will always be remembered as an amazing mom. Norma showed her love and care for her children and their friends through her work with the lunch program at Mascenic High School. After this, Norma worked to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and helped many families throughout the region with private, in-home nursing. She also worked at Friendship Manor in New Ipswich, as well as at Summerhill Assisted Living in Peterborough.
In her spare time, Norma loved spending time in Ogunquit, Maine with her husband. She also enjoyed cooking, walking, and visiting yard sales locally, as well as travelling to casinos for the occasional chance at the bigger games.
In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Spiker, in 2003, as well as by her brother, Phillip A. Emma, who died in 2009.
Norma leaves behind her two beloved sons, Brian Spiker of Jaffrey, and Mark Spiker of New London, CT, and her grandchildren, Christopher A. Spiker, Sarah A. Spiker, Marc T. Spiker, and Carrissa M. Spiker, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Family and Friends are warmly invited to a Celebration of Mrs. Spiker’s life on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (US Route 202) Jaffrey, NH 03452.
