Patricia A. Golden

Patricia A. Golden, 78, seventeen-year resident of Jaffrey, NH, was finally reunited with her beloved parents, husband, and siblings when she passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 23, 2016.

She was born on March 21, 1938 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Bernard M. and Veronica (Hirl) Tarpey. She was a longtime resident of Roxbury, West Roxbury, and Franklin, MA, before settling in Jaffrey. She was a proud member of St. Patrick's High School, Roxbury, MA's Class of 1955. 1964, she married W. James Golden and they lived happily ever after until his passing in 1986.

After retiring from Avery Dennison Corporation, she enjoyed part time work with her beloved friend, Steve Knight, at Your Town Florist in Rindge. She loved to laugh and dance and travel. The real joy of her life was her family, and she loved it when the whole "gang" congregated together to laugh and talk and share a meal!

Greeting Patricia will be her parents, her husband, and her siblings – Dr. Marie V. Tarpey, Bernard R. and his wife Kathryn J. Tarpey, Dorothy A. and her husband Dr. William B. Havey, and John F. and his wife Marie Tarpey.

She is survived by her children - James F. and his wife Valerie J. Golden of Truro, MA, William J. Golden of Rockford, Illinois, John B. Golden of Warminster, PA, Christopher P. and his wife Kathleen M. Golden of Taunton, MA, and Kathleen A. Golden of Jaffrey, NH; her grandchildren Ryan J. Golden and Lauren B. Golden of Truro, MA, and Jamie M. Maietta of Taunton, MA, along with many adored nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 4pm to 7pm in the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Saint Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
