Phyllis Alma (Macaulay) Moulton

Phyllis Alma (Macaulay) Moulton passed away on June 23, 2011 at her daughter’s home in Nashua, NH after a long illness. She was born on September 2, 1921 in Malden, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Kenneth and Laura (Watson) Macaulay. Phyllis was raised and educated in Waterville, Maine and had worked as a telephone operator in Maine until she married John Meredith Moulton and moved to Massachusetts. While living in Massachusetts, she had worked in the banking industry and in her later years, she had worked for Star Market until she and her husband retired to Jaffrey, NH. She enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed a wide variety of crafts and artwork, and most of all, she enjoyed attending the Scottish Highland Games throughout New England and proudly representing Clan Macaulay. Phyllis was married to John Meredith Moulton for over 54 years. He died April 30, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her sister Laura Kelley, and her brothers Worth, Kenneth and Donald Macaulay. Phyllis is survived by her 5 children, John M. Moulton, Jr. of Littleton, MA, Andrea Campbell of Georgetown, KY, Dana Moulton of Nashua, NH, Nancy and Kevin Gaudette of Nashua, NH with whom she resided, and Lynne Gwalia Moulton of Jaffrey, NH; her grandchildren, John M. Moulton, III, Jeffrey Moulton, Jennifer Campbell, Major Mark Campbell and his wife Angela, Major Matt Campbell and his wife Kandiee, Laura Rose and her husband Steven, Jacki Jacobs and her husband Raymond, and Jessie Moulton and her fiancé Seth Hopkins; her very special great-grandchildren, Michael, Cameron and Christopher; a daughter-in-law, Flor Moulton; sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Phyllis’s extended family, the Gaudettes, the Caisse’s, the Boucher’s, and the Merrill’s, for their comfort and care over the past several years of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Moultons name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064-8109

Burial will be in the family lot at Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours which will be held on Sunday June 26, 2011 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Moulton’s name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064-8109
