Priscilla Burgoyne Casey, 76, of Jaffrey, died peacefully on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at the Pheasantwood Healthcare Center in Peterborough with her family by her side.
Priscilla was born on February 14th, 1941 in Peterborough, NH, daughter of the late Edward and Priscilla (Baird) Allord. She was a 1959 graduate of Conant High School where she had been a star basketball player. Priscilla had worked locally at Simplex, Millipore and D.D. Beans before retiring from Medefab in Jaffrey in 2015.
Priscilla was an avid Bingo player and loved her children and family dearly. In her earlier years, she enjoyed knitting mittens for all of her children and playing the organ. She liked taking long rides around New England, country music and her beloved Red Sox, and the only thing she really didn’t like, was shopping.
She was an auxiliary member of the VFW Memorial Post #5613 in Jaffrey.
In addition to her parents, Priscilla was predeceased by her son, William Burgoyne on July 6, 2012, her sister Dorothy Moore on November 17, 2010, her sister Katherine ‘Katie’ Olson on November 11, 2015 and by her granddaughter, Shauna J. Altamarino on August 24, 2016
She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Dunton of Jaffrey, Cathy Burgoyne of Rindge, and Samantha Murray and her husband Michael of Bennington; her 7 grandchildren; Christopher, Christina, Nick, Stefanie, Megan, Michael and Ryan; her 14 great-grandchildren; her brother, Edward Ely; her longtime friend and Bingo Buddy, Robert Putnam, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Priscilla’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202S) in Jaffrey on Friday December 29, 2017 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey.
