RALPH BILLY BLOOD, 61, of Nelson Street, Troy died Saturday April 11, 2009 at the Cheshire medical Center in Keene, after being stricken at the home of his daughter.
He was born August 31, 1947 in Concord, NH son of the late Ralph and Annie (Stearns) Blood.
He had attended schools in Temple NH.
Mr. Blood served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and had served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the LeClair-Caron-Pelletier American Legion Post #13 of Greenville.
He was fondly known as a Jack of all trades and had been employed as a carpenter for most of his life. Mr. Blood had been working for Knight Foundations of New Ipswich for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his son Matthew R. Blood of Jaffrey, NH; his daughter with whom he had been living with, Monya M. Mooney of Troy, NH; a grandson Joseph Blood of Jaffrey, NH; a granddaughter Haley Mooney of Troy, NH; a brother Benton Bloodof Temple, NH; two sisters,Peggy Rice of Lebanon, NH and Rosemary Wiggins of Northfield, MA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
He was predeceased by two brothers Johnathan and Peter.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends and family are warmly invited to celebrate Mr. Bloods life on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 South), Jaffrey.
