Raymond C. Williams, 59, resident of Winchester, NH died on December 15, 2016 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, after a sudden illness.
He was born on July 16, 1957 in Fort Dix, NJ a son of the late Raymond and Katherine (Boyle) Williams.
Ray was raised and educated in New Jersey and graduated from McCorristin Catholic High School in 1974. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army, 101st Airborne. Ray was honorably discharged in April of 1981 after faithfully serving his country.
After his time spent in the military, Ray went on to become a police officer and graduated from the Burlington County Police Academy. He worked for twenty-five years as a police officer for the Florence Township Police Department. After retiring, he worked for the Department of Justice overseas for Anti-Terrorist programs for 10 years. Most recently he worked at Keene State College Dining Service and was serving as a Selectman in the town of Winchester at the time of his passing.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, photography, playing pool, and most of all spending time with his dog, Cinta.
Survivors include his daughters; Lisa M. Williams of NJ, Kelly Williams of NJ and Sara Williams also of NJ, his Brother; Timothy Williams of NJ , his cousin; Katherine Simmington of NH, and his Aunt; Betty Ridgeway of NJ
SERVICES: Following cremation a memorial celebration will take place at the Winchester VFW Hall, 5 Main Street, Winchester, NH on Wednesday, December 21st from 6-8 PM. Another memorial celebration and burial will be held later in New Jersey.
