Regina D. (Burnham) Girard

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Regina Dale Girard, 73, on February 22, 2022. Regina, formerly of Hillsboro, NH, lived in Harrisville with her husband and family for the last year and a half. She still missed her home in Hillsboro where she raised her family and shared so many memories with the people in her life. The outpouring of memories and love of the years she spent caring for children in her home, the support she has given those in a time of need, and the appreciation for who she was in life has been a great comfort to her family.
Regina is survived by her husband of 53 years, Albert Girard, Jr of Harrisville, NH; her daughter and son-in-law Nichole and Thomas VonDette of Harrisville, her son Shawn Girard of Hillsboro, and her daughter and son-in-law Lynn Harriman and Art Vigue of Jay, ME. Regina is also survived by her loving grandchildren Ned and Jill Girard of Bennington, NH, Noah and Madison VonDette of Harrisville, and her great-grandchildren Hunter and Miranda Girard of Bennington. She is survived by her brother, Oliver Burnham of Hillsboro, and her sister Pamela Gaudreault of Hillsboro, NH. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who are family whom she loved with all her heart. She is predeceased by her parents Oliver and Stella Burnham of Hillsboro, NH.
At Regina’s request, there will not be a funeral service. Her family will arrange a Celebration of Life in the Spring at her family’s home in Harrisville. The date will be determined and announced later.
One final request that Regina shared with her daughter is that she did not want anyone crying over her. Hold your loved ones close, and smile when you think of her.
