Richard Charles Aho, age 90 of Dunlap TN passed away early Tuesday morning, October 29, 2024.
Richard was best known for his strong work ethic. He taught his children how to work hard and play hard. He spent his life working in commercial landscape and his trucking business. He provided the best he could for his children by sending them to a Christian school.
He was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith and lead most of his children to the faith as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matti and Hilja Aho; wife, Marilyn Aho; siblings, Edward Aho, Ida Hakala, William Aho, Hjalmer Aho, and Great Grandson John Kole McCoy.
He is survived by his children, Allen (Robin) Aho, Pauline (Alan) Knowles, Joyce (Kim) Busl, Andrew (Francis) Aho, Sharon (Jeff) Blumenberg, Beverly (Michael) Morello, Carol Aho, and Adam (Jennie) Aho; sisters, Daphne Saari, Virginia Johanson, June Tapio and Carolyn Tormala; 22 grandchildren (2 step grandchildren); 35 great grandchildren (6 step great grandchildren); as well as several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on December 8, 2024 at the Apostolic Lutheran Church - 315 Winchendon Road, Ashburnham, MA at 4:00 pm.
He will be buried next to his wife at the Smithville Cemetery in New Ipswich, NH summer of 2025
