Richard 'Dick' Croumie, Jr.

Richard E. ‘Dick’ Croumie, Jr., 74, of Jaffrey, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home while surrounded by his family. He was born on November 13, 1943 in Keene, NH, son of the late Richard E. and Louise C. (Whipple) Croumie, and had attended Thayer High School in Winchester, NH.

Mr. Croumie lived most of his adult life in Peterborough where he and Marjorie, his wife of 53 years, raised 4 wonderful children. He enjoyed bowling, horse shoes, and camping with his family. Dick was a NASCAR fan and an avid model train collector with his brother. He will be fondly remembered as a great dancer, an excellent brick layer and a strong-willed individual

Mr. Croumie is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie (Ducharme) Croumie, who he married on July 11, 1964; his daughter, Deborah Roy and her husband Brian of Dublin; his 3 sons, Dennis and his wife Molly Croumie of Vero Beach, FL, Richard ‘Midge’ and his wife Thristine of Jaffrey, and David Croumie of Jaffrey; 11 Grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; his brother, Gerald Croumie of Rindge, his sister, Rita Merrifield of Keene, and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his granddaughter Natasha Croumie, and by his siblings, Joyce Bryant, Judith Reynolds, Charles Croumie and Michael Croumie.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dick’s life on Sunday, May 6, 2018 with a memorial service led by Rick Davis of Antrim, beginning at 2:00pm in the Cathedral Ballroom at the Shattuck Golf Course, 53 Dublin Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
