RICHARD J. CLOUTIER, 67, of East Main Street, Rindge died Monday June 20, 2011 at the Dartmouth Medical Center in Lebanon following a long illness. He was born August 4, 1943 in Peterborough son of the late Alfred J. and Veronica (Christian) Cloutier. He had attended Jaffrey schools and has been a resident of Rindge since 1966. “Dick” was a heavy equipment operator and had worked for the Peterborough Basket Shop, Red’s Inc. of Jaffrey, Rindge Sand and Gravel and J. Oren Belletete in Jaffrey. He was forced to retire in 1991 due to health issues. For many years he served as a member of the Rindge Fire Department. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his sons, flying remote control model planes, snowmobiling and family barbeques. He cherished time spent with family and for many years he was the primary care-giver for his invalid mother. He is survived by his wife of forty seven years who he married on August 8, 1964, Colleen (Champney) Cloutier of Rindge; his daughter Jolyn Cloutier of Fitzwilliam; his four sons Michael Cloutier and his wife Teresa of Jaffrey, Herbert Cloutier of Jaffrey, Richard Cloutier of Rindge and Owen Cloutier of Jaffrey; his brother Felix A. Cloutier of Jaffrey; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Donald A. Cloutier on October 20, 1977.
