Richard Paul Aldsworth, 62, of Fitzwilliam, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 6, 2018, at his home, after a sudden illness.
He was born on December 31, 1955, in South Boston, MA, to John H and Doris T (Cook) Aldsworth. His family moved to NH when Richard was in 5th grade and he was a 1973 graduate of Monadnock Regional High School. He worked at Monadnock Lifetime Products in Fitzwilliam for over 20 years as a foreman and later in the construction trade as a carpenter before his health no longer allowed.
He enjoyed karate and was an advanced student of Tae Kwon Do, studying under the Ed Budd School of Tae Kwon Do and traveled for years for tournaments and teachings.
He is survived by his siblings: John Henry “Ozzie” Aldsworth, Jr., Linda Taylor and her husband Marshall and William J. “Bill” Aldsworth, all of Fitzwilliam; as well as 1 niece, 4 nephews, and several cousins. He was predeceased by both his parents and his Sister in Law, Sue Ricard.
Calling Hours will be held at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, October 13, 2018, The public is invited. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery on Royalston Road in Fitzwilliam, NH.
