Ricky Burns, Sr.

Ricky Burns SR, 56 of Sharon NH passed away on Friday June 3rd, 2016 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Tammie (McLeod) Burns whom he loved with all his heart.

He also leaves behind his daughter Jenifer and Husband Kevin Wheeler of Rutherford NJ, his son Ricky Jr and his wife Stacy Burns on New Ipswich NH, his daughter Tracy Burns of Mason NH, 14 Grandchildren Zachary, Ashley, Erin, Jordan, Justin W., Julie, Kaylee, Justin B., Shianne, Stacia, Nathan, Brooklyn, Laila and Austin. His sister Linda and her husband and his lifelong best friend Bob Enwright of Greenville, NH, sister Gloria Burns of Athol, MA, Brother Bruce and his wife Kris Burns of Auburn Ma, his mother in law Veronica McLeod, sister in law Diane and her husband Gary Moore and brother in law Victor McLeod III, many nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his father Vernon Burns, his father in law Victor McLeod Jr and his sister Margaret Welveret.

He was born in Farmington Maine on December 25, 1959 to Frances and the late Vernon Burns. He attended Fitchburg High School in Massachusetts where he spent his teenage years before moving to NH with his wife and starting their family.

He was most recently employed by G.W. Shaw which he highly enjoyed. He also enjoyed four wheeling, his motorcycle, boating, camping, fishing and was always busy fixing something. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, mostly his grandchildren, and having a cold one with his friends. He simply enjoyed living life to the fullest and helping everyone that he could. He was loved by everyone that met him.

We will be having a Celebration of Rick’s life at his and his wife’s home at 212 Temple Rd. Sharon, NH on Saturday June 11, 2016 from 1-4.
