Robert Joseph Patch

Robert Joseph Patch, 85, of Rindge, NH, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 7, 2024, after a period of failing health.

Robert was born on July 1, 1939, in Wallingford, Vermont, to the late Howard and Violetta (Hardy) Patch.

Robert spent his youth living in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire and attended school at Troy High School. After this, Robert would go on to proudly serve his country in the US Navy for 4 years, achieving the rank of BMSN (E-3). Following an honorable discharge from the military, Robert would then follow down the path of manufacturing; he had eagerly spent the majority of his career as a steel fabricator for CW Fabricators in Gardner, Massachusetts, where he would eventually retire from in 2001.

Robert had many hobbies, his favorites being anything which revolved around fishing and NASCAR. But nothing could compare to the joy he felt when spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to both his parents, Robert is predeceased by his son’s, Robert J. Patch Jr, and Glenn A. Patch.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Kathleen (Guerin) Patch of Jaffrey, NH, his daughter Marie Patch of Fitzwilliam, NH, his brothers Howard Patch Jr of Winchendon, MA, Richard Patch of Fitzwilliam, NH, and Roland Patch of Tennessee. He is also survived by his sister’s JoAnn Wilder of Swanzy, NH, and Loretta Bastarache of Templeton, MA.

Friends and family are warmly invited to calling hours on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 12:00PM to 3:00PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey NH 03452.

Military honors as well as a Memorial Service will take place in the funeral home chapel immediately following calling hours beginning at 2:30PM. Deacon Dennis of Saint Patrick Parish, will be the celebrant.
