After a long period of illness, Robert Charles Sites, 64, of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at the Monadnock Community Hospital the morning of Sunday, August 25, 2024, with his beloved brother, Mark, by his side.
Robert was born on February 8, 1960, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Lyndol M. and Muriel A. (Todd) Sites. He spent most of his early life in southeast Michigan and attended Brighton High School, graduating in 1978. Robert went on to a career in diesel mechanics. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. In his later years living in Lewiston and Webberville, Michigan, Rob found joy in painting pastoral scenes and majestic animals like deer and eagle. Rob could often be found enjoying his favorite shows, M*A*S*H or Sanford and Sons. He and his brother, Mark, recently moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family. While in New Hampshire he enjoyed camping until he was no longer able to due to illness. Rob is remembered for his silly and sarcastic sense of humor, his love of animals, and his kind heart.
Robert is survived by his sister, Deborah (Sites) Markcum and husband Dale of Fowlerville, Michigan and his brother, Mark Sites of Jaffrey, New Hampshire. He is also remembered as the loving uncle to Debbie’s children Jason Beauchamp and Jodie (Beauchamp) Smith and their families and also by Mark’s children Melissa (Sites) Wortman, Juliet (Sites) Patterson, and Andrew Sites and their families.
A celebration of life will be held in Michigan in September.
