Ronald G. Randall Jr., 77, of New Ipswich, NH, passed away suddenly in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Ronald was born on June 30, 1946, in Marlboro, MA, the son of Ronald and Marion Randall. He grew up in Bellingham, MA. He enlisted with the United States Marines in 1963. His service to our country as a Scout Sniper earned him a Purple Heart and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry after surviving an injury at Cam Lo in the Vietnam War.
On March 28, 1994, Ron married the love of his life, Dorine K. Sweet. Together they enjoyed tournament bass fishing, trips to York Maine, and spending time together. They were rarely seen apart.
Ron loved target shooting on his rifle range, fishing, golfing but most of all, he enjoyed the time he could spend with his family.
Ron moved to New Ipswich NH 21 years ago and has been fond of this area since the start. He worked as a security supervisor at the Monadnock Hospital in Peterborough, NH until his retirement. After retirement he worked as a ranger for Crotched Mountain Golf Course and helped at Barrett Hill Farm.
He is predeceased by his father, Ronald, and Marion Randall, and his aunts and uncles.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dorine K. Randall of New Ipswich, NH, their girls (cats) Minion and Weasel, his brother, Kevin and Yolanda Randall of Cumberland, RI, nephews Kevin (Melissa) and Justin, his adopted son, Staff Sergeant Scott Dakin and his wife Jen of Fowler, NY, his grandchildren; Connor and Colton Dakin, many cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held on August 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street Jaffey, NH 03452.
His wife Dorine would like to thank Chief Mike Able and Patrolman Marc Frederick of the New Ipswich PD., and all the first responders that worked tirelessly to save Ron.
