Ronald “Ron” B. Rowell, 76, of Greenville, NH, passed away on February 11, 2023, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born in Ayer, MA, on October 27, 1946, a son to the late Reginald F. and Bernice R. (Anderson) Rowell.

Ron attended and graduated from Bromfield High School in Harvard, MA, in the class of 1965. He met his beloved wife, Evelyn, on a blind date where they fell in love and married six months later, on January 2, 1970. Together they started their family and shared 53 wonderful loving years together. Ronald enlisted in the United States Army in 1966, and proudly served his country completing two tours of Vietnam and earning a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star as well as a Vietnam Campaign Medal.  

After he was honorably discharged, Ronald continued to serve his country and was a Post Commander of the Post 13 American Legion in Greenville. He enjoyed helping other Veterans and took annual trips with his friends to visit the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington, DC. He was selfless in his acts of love towards others. He was an avid NASCAR fan, who in his younger years was a racecar driver and competed in local racing events. He knew a little bit about a lot of things, and was a tinkerer. He will forever be remembered as an outstanding person, loving husband, and father, who would take anyone under his wing, and he had an excellent sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his brother Reginald Rowell.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Evelyn Rowell of Greenville, NH, his two daughters, Kristin Dame and her husband Edward, of Greenville, NH, and Michelle Sawyer and her husband Jon of Jaffrey, NH, his six grandchildren, Joshua Dame of Independence, MO, Samantha Dame of Manchester, NH, Michael Dame and his fiancé Kathryn Lambert, and their children Holden and Briar all of Greer, SC, Kyle Gardner of Greenville, NH, Damien Sawyer and his fiancé Haley Tweedy and their daughter Heather of Mason, NH, Dakota Sawyer and his wife Victoria and their child Dakota Jr. of Rindge, NH, his sister, Rhonda Owen of Gardner, MA, and his sister-in-law Susan Rowell of Manchester, NH, and his beloved dog Bella, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend Ron's Memorial Service followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 1:00PM-4:00PM at the American Legion Pavilion; 593 Fitchburg Road Route 31 Greenville, NH, 03048.
