Roselyn J. Pecor, 89, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024, at the Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, only a few short months after her husband had died.
‘Rose’ was born on December 6, 1934, in Rochester, NH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Gallant) Letourneau. She grew up in Sanford, ME and graduated with the Class of 1953 from St. Ignatius High School. After high school, she met and married Franklin ‘Bud’ Pecor. They exchanged vows in a beautiful Mass in Holy Family Catholic Church on June 16, 1962.
Rose had worked at Sanford Shoe while living in Maine, and later at Van Brode Milling when they lived in Clinton, MA. Eventually Rose and Bud moved to Jaffrey, NH where she worked at Cirtronics in Milford assembling small circuit boards until retiring in 1997.
Rose and her husband will always be remembered fondly by many of Conant High School’s Championship Basketball Teams. They followed the teams wherever they played. She was also a long-time Girl Scout leader and enjoyed arts and crafts, as well as sightseeing as they traveled around the Nation in their RV. They had made countless friends and had visited all but 2 states in their years of camping – but had hopes of getting there before their health challenges prevented it. Rose also enjoyed watching auto racing and had been a long-time member of the Good Sam RV club.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Rose was also predeceased by her three brothers.
She is survived by her 2 nieces, Tammy Beaupre of Waterboro, ME, and Beverly Dart of Sanford, ME, and by a nephew, Donald Letourneau of Enid, OK and their families.
Because of the colder weather, services will be held in the Spring, and will be announced as they are scheduled. Their burial will be at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Rose’s name to the Girl Scouts, c/o Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains, 1 Commerce Drive, Bedford, NH 03110-6835.
