The family of Paul T. and Rosemarie F. Davis is saddened to announce the loss of a cherished generation of their family.
Paul T. Davis died peacefully on March 3, 2013. Mr. Davis was born on January 14, 1946, in Peterborough, NH, son of the late George and Ruby (Potter) Davis. He attended local schools before enlisting in the US Army. He served honorably in Vietnam and achieved the rank of Sergeant before returning home.
He had worked at Hanscome Air Force Base in the Transportation department for most of his career until his early retirement due to his illness in 2006. His favorite memory was meeting President Clinton while working at the base.
In his spare time, he loved to garden, and he always had loads of tomatoes each season. He also loved fishing and reading war books.
In 1968, Paul married Rosemarie Catizone in Boston, and together they would make Brighton and Billerica, MA, and finally Greenville, NH their homes through the years.
Rosemarie F. Davis died peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua on November 8, 2024.
Mrs. Davis was born in Boston, MA on September 5, 1946, daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Carelli) Catizone and she was raised and educated in Somerville, MA.
She enjoyed gardening, her pets, small and large, and hanging out with her family and friends whenever possible. Her most beloved task was making the stuffing for the holiday meals in their home, and it was truly an amazing recipe sought after by all.
Rosemarie adored all of her grandchildren and her great grandson Leo.
Survivors include their daughters, Alison Swank-Collins, of Rindge, NH and June Brown of Ashby, MA, their grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Paul Brown and Shannon Brown. Her brother Anthony Catizone of Lowell, MA and her cousin Nicholas Catizone of Woburn, MA.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis will be remembered in prayer and laid to rest at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA where Mr. Davis will also receive military honors in recognition of his honorable and faithful service, on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 3:00PM.
A celebration of life for Paul and Rose will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Maja Hall, 47 Erickson Road, Ashby, MA 01431.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in their names to: The Humane Society, ASPCA or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
