Rosemarie 'Rose' G. Bochicchio

With a heavy heart, we announce Rosemarie 'Rose' Bochicchio (nee Gautreaux), aged 66 of Rindge, NH was called home to our Lord on August 27, 2024, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Rose was a unique and compassionate individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was born in Chicago, IL as the 3rd of seven children to her parents, Donald and Frances (Kincaid) Gautreaux. She relocated to the East Coast in 1985, and met the love of her life, Lucky Bochicchio in 1991 in Hancock, NH. They married on July 3, 2000. They lived life to its fullest in harmony and happiness. Their greatest joy was time spent with their children, grandchildren, family and friends. To summarize 33 remarkable years together, they truly had the time of their life.

Rose earned a Nursing Degree in January of 1997, working in hospital settings and the educational system as a school and camp nurse. She later opened Compassionate Staffing LLC, which she ran for the past 20 years; a business specializing in the holistic modalities as a Bowan Therapeutic Practitioner and REIKI Level III – Master/Teacher. In her spare time, she worked at a local homeless shelter and was a Tai Chi instructor. She became an Ordained Minister in October 2018. Lucky and Rose opened their home to a foreign exchange student from Argentina and for 8 years hosted a child through the Fresh Air Program. Rose was greatly affected by the loss of her younger sister, and she devoted the last two years of her life serving as a grief counselor and cancer coach.

Rose is fondly remembered by family members as their “rock”; the one person they often turned to for support. Empathic by nature, her patience, understanding, guidance and love provided comfort during the best and worst of times. Conversations always ended with her saying, “Don’t worry. You’re in the door “(to her prayer box). When you received a hug from Rose, you felt loved; she had a great gift of loving everyone she met unconditionally. The loss of our Rosie will deeply impact us for the rest of our lives. As poignantly stated by a dear cousin: “Once again, in just a blink of an eye, the lights of our lives grow dimmer. Your loss is my own”.

Beloved Bonus-Mom to Kevin (Alyssa) Bochicchio and Lauren (Derek) Hathaway and proud Nana to Olive and Quinn Hathaway, Sophie and Eloise Bochicchio.

Also Survived by her mother Frances Kincaid and 5 siblings: Donald (Patricia) Gautreaux, David (Laura) Gautreaux, Jeannine (Ralph) Clemmons, Kathleen (Terry) Jones and Laura (Tom Benrus) Schwab.
