Sandra J. Holman (Burgoyne), 81, of Fitzwilliam, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021 at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene with her daughter by her side, after a week-long battle with COVID. She was also connected with family through video chat.
Sandra was born on March 5, 1940, in Hyde Park, MA, a daughter of her late adopted parents, Harry and Emily (Morlock) Burgoyne of Jaffrey, NH. She was also a daughter of her late biological mother, Elizabeth (Bennett) Aubuchon of Lancaster, NH. Sandra was a 1958 graduate of the former Our Lady of Monadnock Academy in Jaffrey, and a long-time resident of Fitzwilliam. In 1964, she married Richard Holman Sr., who is also a lifelong resident of Fitzwilliam.
Sandra had worked in assembly and quality control through C.R. Bard in Fitzwilliam, and at Millipore Corp. in Jaffrey, which was also where she retired from. She greatly enjoyed going for long rides viewing the countryside scenery, organizing, and planting in her many gardens and spending hours on jigsaw puzzles. She spent many years enjoying companionship of her two dogs, Herby and Snowball. Another one of her biggest enjoyments was spending time in the kitchen cooking a variety of home hearty meals. She was very strong-willed and had such a strong inner self, great positive attitude on life and was more than willing to help her close family through life’s many challenges.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard A. Holman Sr. of Fitzwilliam, NH; her son, Scott Holman of Winchester, NH and her daughter, Denelle Holman of Fitzwilliam, NH. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Angela Burger, Sarah Russell, Josh Seamans, Brittany Cressoine, Mikaela Seamans and Tyler Seamans. She cherished 3 great-grandchildren, Camden, Chase and Scarlett Cressoine.
At Sandra’s request, there will be no calling hours.
