SandraLee M. Goulet, 66, formerly of Jaffrey, died on March 9, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with ALS. She was born in Jaffrey, NH on October 8, 1945, daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (Laplante) Symonowicz. Sandra graduated from Conant High School as class president in 1963 and went on to attend Plymouth State College. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed tennis, traveling, spending time with friends and family and was a communicant of St. Patricks church. In 1992 they moved to North Carolina where they spent the next 14 years living on a golf course before moving back to NH in 2006. She then moved to IL to help take care of her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Anna, and most recently, by her husband Clifton on August 24, 2011. Survivors include her 2 sons, Scott and his wife Leah Goulet of Swanzey, NH, and Bryan and his wife Nicole Goulet of Antioch, IL; 3 grandchildren, Talia, Austin and Camryn; her great grandson Carter; her niece Jessica and her husband Ken Cheney, who Sandra spent the last 8 months living with in South Carolina since the passing of her husband; her 2 brothers, Michael Symonowicz of FL, and Ted and his wife Carol Symonowicz of Jaffrey, NH, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Sandra’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, friends honor her life with a contribution to the following ALS Foundation: Les Turner Foundation, 5550 W Touley Ave, Suite 302, Skokie, IL 60677 Family and friends will honor and remember Sandra’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 south) in Jaffrey on Thursday March 15, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00PM A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 16th, at 12:00 Noon in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
