Stanley F. Dombroski, 84, of Crestview Drive in Jaffrey died July 13, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester following a sudden illness.
He was born February 23, 1924 in Stamford CT, son of the late Stefan and Antoinette (Rembisz) Dombroski.
He was a 1942 graduate of Stamford High School, and had served with the United States Army during World War II.
He worked as a machinist for Pitney Bowes Inc. in Stamford where he retired following 26 years of employment.
Mr. Dombroski was a member of the Holy Name Athletic Club of Stamford and also was a member of Elks Lodge #899 of Stamford.
He has been a resident of Jaffrey since 1984.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years Betty (Bald) Dombroski of Jaffrey; four daughters Cynthia Melia and husband Rocko of Langhorne PA, Janet Donovan and husband Bill of Wilton CT, Martha A. Booth and husband Chip of Monroe CT; B.J. Forlenzo and husband Pat of Naugatuck CT; two sons Karl S. Dombroski and wife Dianne of Ansonia CT, Michael J. Dombroski and wife Sherri of Bethel CT; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jaffrey Food Pantry, 54 Main Street, Jaffrey NH 03452.
Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street (Route 202 South) in Jaffrey, NH from 10:00AM until 12:00Noon on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.
A Celebration of his life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday immediately following calling hours.
