STELLA HEIL, 76, of North Street, Jaffrey died peacefully at her home on Saturday June 5, 2010.

She was born December 25, 1933 in Jaffrey, daughter of the late Alfred and Yvonne Clara (Gauthier) Pelkey. She had attended Jaffrey schools and was a life long resident of this community.

Stella was a retired employee of Millipore Corp in Jaffrey. Following her retirement she worked part time assisting her daughter and son-in-law with a family run laundermat in Jaffrey. She had also worked at D.D. Bean and Sons in Jaffrey and for many years had operated her own day care from her home for many local children and family members.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She married Bernard J. Heil Sr. on September 1, 1973. He died January 4, 2004 following thirty years of marriage.


Survivors include her three daughters Debrah Charlonne and Cheryl Pelletier both of Jaffrey, Theda Cogley of China Maine; two step-sons Michael Heil of Rindge and Bernard J. Heil Jr of Kentucky; three step-daughters Linda Wissell of Hillsboro, Diane Miller of Keene and Patricia LaFleur of Allenstown; grandchildren Chris, Jason, Becky, Nathan, Craig, Matthew, Jessica, Megan, Kyle, and Adam; 17 great grandchildren; five sisters Rita Chamberlain, Marie Rene, Alice Sirois all of Jaffrey, Lorraine Holmon of Winchendon,MA Felice Johnson of West Warren MA; three brothers Andrew R. Pelkey of Winchendon MA, Oris P. Pelkey of Jaffrey, Franklin D. Pelkey of Marlborough NH; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son Wayne Burnham on Jan 31, 1997 as well as several brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, Stella wanted contributions made to The National Parkinsons Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown MD 21741-5018, in hopes of finding a cure someday.

Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends are warmly invited to bring memories of Stella to share at a Celebration of Her Life on Thursday June 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202 South) Jaffrey NH.
