Susan L. Davis, 66, a lifelong resident of Jaffrey, died peacefully on September 26, 2016 at her home while surrounded by her family after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on November 17, 1949 in Gardner, MA, the daughter of Kenneth and Gloria (Robichaud) Wetherbee, Jr. She was a 1967 graduate of Conant High School.
Susan had worked locally as a CNA and had enjoyed caring for others in many different capacities throughout her life. Susan had worked at Good Shepherd, Rivermead, Monadnock Community Hospital and at many private homes in the area.
She enjoyed collecting dolls, reading, and loved to spend time any chance she could at Hampton Beach. Susan also shared her talents by teaching aerobics with the Jaffrey Recreation Department for many years.
Susan is survived by her husband of 25 years, Wayne S. Davis of Jaffrey; her 2 sons and their families, Francis Lizotte and Bradley Lizotte and his wife Pamela, all of Jaffrey; her step-son Todd Davis of Keene; her grandchildren, Kimberly Governor and her husband Ryan along with their children Lillyannah and Aubrie and one on the way, of Jaffrey, Jonathan of Troy and Cathryn of Antrim; her brother, Kenneth Wetherbee, III and his wife Karen of Peterborough, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202) Jaffrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Saint Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Jaffrey.
